Game Overview:
A low-poly, physics based and immersive 3rd person reverse-role Action game where you embark on a cosmic journey as The Entity, an alien being who knows very little about itself, paired with a mysterious subconscious guide named Xylo. Each Entity must find a host on a new planet or face a return to a dormant state. As our Entity lands on a planet called ‘Earth,’ the adventure begins. You are responsible for unleashing and orchestrating an apocalyptic pandemic, engineering the downfall of civilization. Welcome, to the beginning of the end!

The Entity: You are an extraterrestrial being that can take over human hosts using DNA replication. Unlike traditional zombies, these hosts are not undead, but are fragments of your DNA replicated inside of humans, and retain some autonomy but follow The Entity’s commands.

Xylo: The Entity’s subconscious guide, providing knowledge and guidance. Xylo helps The Entity understand its surroundings and strategize its actions to survive a hostile world full of creatures called ‘Humans.’ Xylo also helps unravel the story behind Outbreak Genesis and what The Entity really is.

The Rival Entity: This entity landed on Earth before you did. Captured by the Sand Marauders and exploited for its DNA, this rival will eventually break free, creating its own faction and adding dynamic game-play challenges.

Possession and Control: Utilize DNA-type abilities like Infectious bite and Toxic Flatulence to spread your DNA and convert humans into loyal hosts while being able to issue commands to those converted to help dominate the Human race.

Companions: Seed and grow dormant Entities like Bob(and others!), who have lost their Guide due to their return to a dormant state and are in need of leadership, providing unique support and upgrades.

Tug-of-War Game-play: Control territories to achieve victory over the Human race and The Rival Entity. Territories can be recaptured by any of the other Factions. (See Territories Below)

Dynamic Events: Experience evolving game-play with dynamically changing enemy factions, a dynamically changing world, and a rival Entity. Experience dynamic events such as bank robberies, human offensives, and more. Every time you play the game there will be different challenges.

Territories: Explore diverse regions, each with its own challenges and resources. From the bustling Ignorant City to the treacherous Outback. Each territory has its own Command Center which The Entity can convert into a Nest. (See Nests Below)(So far, there will only be one open-world map available upon release. This can easily change)

Nests: Use nests as fast travel points, upgrade centers, and strategic command posts for controlling your horde.

Territory Wars: Defend Nests owned by you. Attack Nests owned by The Rival Entity or the Command Centers owned by Human Factions.

Dynamic Adversary System: Special enemies remember past interactions with the player. If they are defeated, they can return stronger, with new abilities, and a grudge with heightened determination to seek revenge, ensuring that each encounter feels unique. (The name for this system will be polled on discord)

Traps: Beware of traps. These human creatures have set up Traps of all types to hinder you, your horde, and The Rival Entity. From hidden flamethrower traps to bear traps and electrified fences. Use your horde to break through the humans defenses!

Physics: Engage with destructible objects and movable scenery to enhance immersion. Companions like Bob are particularly destructive, leaving a path of devastation. Flowers and grass will move below your feet as you rush past. Flags and other cloth objects will wave in the wind. The sun and moon will also rotate around you as you dominate the human race and much more.

Factions: Different factions(Humans and Rival Host) react dynamically to the outbreak. Humanity won’t die off easily, they will push back. Some factions will also fight amongst one another.

Art Style: Colorful low-poly with a playful aesthetic, creating a light-hearted, chaotic, and at times, humorous atmosphere.

Sound and Music: Immersive sound effects and an evolving soundtrack reflecting the intensity of the outbreak.

The Astral Compendium:
Keep track of human factions, their traps, and other survival information with your Astral Compendium, introduced by Xylo. As you progress, Xylo will help you fill out information within this book which your survival depends on.
